The most delicious Oatmeal ever

 A mindful breakfast can do wonders and provide a great start for the day. This breakfast takes a little longer to prepare than pouring cereal in a bowl and filling it with milk, but it is well worth the effort. Making and having this is almost like a morning meditation.

Soak the oats overnight so you can cook them faster. Oats have a lot of protein, fibre and slow burning carbs to keep you full longer. Boil four cups of water and put the oats in. It will take about 30 minutes for the water to reduce.

Rolled oats or steel cut oats are the great. Both of them have similar nutritional benefits but the taste and texture are different so it is great to alternate them.

Add

1 spoon of chia seeds

1 spoon of hemp seed

1 spoon of flaxseeds

These seeds have tons of healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. They also help with absorption of vitamin D

Bananas to make it sweet and includes potassium. The best bananas are the ones that have brown spots. They are the most ripe and sweet ones.

Almonds and walnut for some great taste and healthy fats

1 Brazil nut. To provide a daily ration of selenium

A few sliced grapes / berries to top it off.

Change the toppings combo for variety. I also alternate between rolled oats and steel cut oats so it has some variation in taste and texture

This is a feel good breakfast that is also healthy for you.
