Oatmeal Upma


Breakfast today...oats, spinach, chia seeds, walnut, flax seed , hemp seed, ginger, chillis , turmeric and banana. A single brazil nut gives you enough selenium for a day

Soak walnuts overnight
Chop onions and ginger
Stir fry on a non stick pan, covering with a lid to preserve moisture. You won't need oil if you do this
Chop and add spinach. Keep stir frying for a few minutes
Add a cup of oatmeal, one tea spoon each of chia seeds flax seed meal, hemp seeds
Add the walnuts
Add a couple of cups of water and bring everything to a boil
Mix in turmeric ,salt and chilli powder
Let it cool down. Place a brazil nut on top. Decorate with chopped banana
Makes a great filling breakfast. Lots of good carbs, protein , omega fats from the oatmeal, greens , seeds and onion
